Easy Christmas Crafts – Let’s Make a Christmas House Craft!

We’ve shared DIY Christmas ornaments, Christmas decor, paper Christmas tree crafts, and other fun ideas for the holiday season. It was time we made a little house with a Christmas theme! Not only is this craft so much fun, but it’s also perfect for kids of all ages of any skill level, from ages 4 onward to primary school.

This easy craft can be made with simple supplies you can get in any craft store and is a great way for children in kindergarten and younger to develop several skills, like fine motor skills and color recognition, all while making beautiful homemade holiday decorations.

  • Blue construction paper
  • White construction paper
  • Printed Templates

Steps To Make A Christmas House Craft

Step 1

Get the first template page with an arc and stars, cut the shapes out, and place the arc over the blue construction paper.

This is the first step to making a Christmas house craft.

Step 2

Use the arc to trace around it and cut out the remaining paper around the arc.

Now cut around the template!

Step 3

Grab the white construction paper and fold it in half lengthwise.

Grab your white piece of paper!

Step 4

Accordion fold it.

Fold it like an accordion!

Step 5

Cut it in half.

You should have two similar pieces of paper.

Step 6

Get these two pieces and glue them together end to end.

Glue them together to make a veeeery long accordion.

Step 7

Attach the long accordion fold piece of paper to the blue piece. For this step, fold the blue paper however tall you want it to be. Glue one side and hold — you can use a paperclip to hold it in place while you do other steps because it may pop off.

The next step is gluing the long accordion to the blue paper.

You can use a clip to help it stay together.

Step 8

Take the other, bend it around and glue it to the other extreme of the blue paper.

We’re almost done with this Christmas craft!

Step 9

Get the other template and cut out the house, tree, snowman, and stars. Here’s the fun part – at least for the little kids – and grab your markers and color them!

Color the template with your favorite colors!

Step 10

Glue them to the accordion folds to make the little scene of the house in the background with all the other details.

Instructions
