How to Make Valentine’s Edible Slime

  1. Place the  condensed milk, sugar, and cornstarch into the sauce pan. Mix until well-blended.
  2. Place the pan over med-high heat, stirring until mixture thickens. Note: you want to be careful not to burn the mixture. If your stove tends to heat up quickly, heat on low-medium heat.
  3. Mix in approximately 5-6  drops of food coloring (you can add more to make the color darker). We chose red just in time for Valentine’s Day!
  4. Let mixture cool down completely before giving it to your child.  You can even place it into the refrigerator until cooled.
  5. Once cooled, add the conversation heart candies (or sprinkles), and stir well.
  6. Allow your kids to have some ooey, gooey fun! You can store leftovers in a resealable plastic bag or container in the refrigerator. Make sure to use within 5 days, as the slime will begin to harden in the refrigerator.

Note from Our Experience Making Edible Slime

It is best to play with Edible Slime away from carpet and upholstered furniture. The food coloring may cause stains.

And that’s it! You will then have some fun (and delicious) slime to play with!
