Let’s make a Minecraft t shirt!

Minecraft T Shirt Craft for Kids

My kids, especially our two oldest boys LOVE Minecraft which is why they were so excited to make a Minecraft t-shirt. This DIY Minecraft shirt craft is surprisingly easy and kids can help or do it with supervision.

The finished Minecraft T shirt is a simple pattern that is instantly recognized by fellow Minecraft fans and makes a great birthday party or slumber party craft to do as a group.

Supplies Needed To Make A Minecraft T-Shirt

Directions To Make A Minecraft Creeper T-Shirt

Step 1

Cut the foil or cardboard to fit inside your T-shirt.

Step 2

Insert it up into the shirt. You will need this to keep the paint from bleeding through the fabric.

Step 3

Be sure to make sure that your insert is big enough.

Step 4

To Make a Single TShirtCut the Masking Tape Into the Following Segments:

  • 2″ by 3″ – you will need 3 segments
  • 2″ by 4″ – you will need one

Step 5

You will also need to make a “frame” with remaining masking tape.

Step 6

In this step we are adding the paint for the Creeper to our t-shirt.

After you have your tape cut, place them into the mine-craft creeper face “shape” on your T-shirt.

Step 7

Fill-in the face by painting first with white acrylic paint. Depending on the quality of the paint and how thick you paint, you might need to do two layers.

Step 8

Wait for the white to dry and then paint neon over that. Once the neon has dried, mix one-half neon paint with one-half glow-in-the-dark paint.

Step 9

Do a final coat with the “fun paint”.

Step 10

Allow the creeper face to fully dry before removing the masking tape – Carefully!

This Minecraft shirt is washable. Your creeper face is there to stay!

Make a Minecraft T-Shirt featuring a Creeper! This easy craft for kids uses glow-in-the-dark fabric paint for wearable fun.
