Supplies Need To Make This Paper Plate Sun Craft You Will Need
- white paper plates
- yellow paint
- black craft foam
- white school glue
- black permanent marker
- red colored pencil
- scissors
- paintbrush
Direction To Make This Paper Plate Sun Craft
Step 1
After gathering supplies, invite kids to paint their paper plate yellow.
Step 2
While the paint is drying, kids can sketch sunglasses on the black craft foam.
Step 3
When the paint is dry, cut small triangles all around the outside of the paper plate.
Step 4
Invite kids to glue the sunglasses to the middle of the sun.
Step 5
Last use a black permanent marker to draw eyebrows, a smile, and a tongue on the sun.
Step 6
Kids can color the tongue in red with colored pencils. Colored pencils over paint is a really beautiful effect!
Don’t you just love this craft? It looks adorable hanging on the fridge or wall!

Materials
- white paper plates
- yellow paint
- black craft foam
- white school glue
- black permanent marker
- red colored pencil
- scissors

Instructions
- Paint the paper plate yellow.
- While the paint dries, sketch and cut out sunglasses out of the black foam.
- When the yellow paint on the paper plate is try, cut small triangles out all around the outside of the paper plate.
- Glue the sunglasses in the middle of the yellow paper plate.
- Use a black marker to draw eyebrows on the sun, a smile, and a tongue.
- Use a red colored pencil to color the tongue of the sun on the paper plate.
