What we love about easy preschool crafts is that you can use things you likely already have on hand or make substitutions easily. Common supplies we keep for crafts:
- Scissors, preschool training scissors
- Glue: glue stick, school glue, glue dots or tape
- Markers, crayons, paint and paint pens
- Paper, paper plates, tissue paper, gauze, construction paper, felt, coffee filters
- Googly eyes, pipe cleaners, cotton balls
- Recycled items: bottle caps, water bottles, other treasures from the recycling bin
Halloween Crafts Preschool Safety (How do I keep my preschooler safe while making crafts?)
Preschoolers love making crafts, but a concern is doing it safely! Use items like preschool training scissors for cutting. If safety scissors won’t cut the item properly, then consider preparing that ahead of time for your preschooler or preschool class. Using glue dots instead of a hot glue gun often works nearly as well without the danger involved.
