How To Bend Popsicle Sticks to make Bracelets

I can’t believe just how easy it is to make bracelets from craft sticks. We make so many craft stick projects that we always have a ton extra laying around, so we decided to turn them into bracelets for our friends! These popsicle stick bracelets only require a few art supplies. It is a fun craft that is budget friendly. Younger kids and bigger kids are going to love this.

This craft will take some time, and does require some help from mom and dad as the popsicle sticks need boiled, dried, and painted. But it is totally worth the wait!

Step 1

Step 1 - Bend Popsicle into Bracelets Craft - Craft Sticks Boiling
Start by heating the popsicle sticks up in a pan of water.

Add your craft sticks to a large pot and cover them with water.

Step 2

Bring to a boil and cook for 30 minutes, until the wood is pliable. Make sure to add plenty of sticks, in case some break in the process of shaping them.

Remove the craft sticks from the water one at a time and bend to fit inside your glass jars. It’s ok if a few of them break. We had several casualties!

Step 4

Find a jar that will fit your wrist.

Set on a baking sheet and allow to dry overnight.

Step 5

Set your oven to 200 degrees F and add them for an hour to finish drying them out.

Once completely dry, remove from the jars and decorate!

Decorating your bracelet is fun!

We used glitter paint for a simple touch, but you could wrap them in washi tape or in twine to decorate them. Add stickers or even color them with markers. The possibilities are endless!

They should still be a bit pliable, so just bend them back together if they stretch out.
