This eight-day holiday is a great time to reunite with family and friends and enjoy the lighting of the menorah. Hanukkah, also spelled Chanukah or Chanukkah, is a Jewish holiday that usually happens in December and lasts for eight nights. It can also be known as the Festival of Lights. To celebrate these eight nights, people light candles on a menorah (a candlestick with several branches), one every night. Other activities during this tradition are exchanging gifts and playing holiday games.

  1. The first picture is of a Hanukkiah (with 9 candle holders) and the second is a menorah (for 7 candles). Also candles and menorahs and Hanukkiahs can be any color and design, as long as one candle sits higher than the others. That’s the Shamash and it is used to light the other candles.
