14. Push the Mail Weight Limit for Mailing Items

13oz or Less.  This is the weight limit of what you can send–pack some fun treasures into a plastic paint can, and mail! Check out Treasures for Tots for more info!

15. Mail a Ball!  Again!

Send a Basketball. This idea from Curiousmatic will cost more, as they usually weigh more than 13 ounces. It’s worth it to surprise a loved one, though! This tutorial is no longer available online.

16. Gift of Bouncy Balls via the Post Office

  1. I decorated mini pumpkins with names/addresses written on them and mailed them, without packaging, to my young nieces & nephews. They got a kick when they received them for Halloween.

  2. My son was a scout at Sea Base in Florida and all the boys mailed a coconut home and the coconuts came at all different times. It was so fun to see the response at the Boy Scout meetings for the next month!

  3. My brother mailed me and a whole bunch of other people yams! No packaging, just one yam per person. Also absolutely no reason at all, except for a smile! We kept it in the freezer for a long time!
