  1. Venus is the hottest planet in our solar system and almost as big as Earth. 
  2. Venus also has mountains and active volcanoes, just like Earth. 
  3. Venus is a terrestrial planet, which means it is small and rocky.
  4. Venus spins in the opposite direction of most planets, including Earth.
  5. Venus’ rotation is very slow. It takes about 243 Earth days to spin around just once.

  1. On Venus, the Sun rises every 117 Earth days, meaning the Sun rises two times during each year on Venus.  
  2. Venus is the brightest planet in our solar system. 
  3. Venus is hot enough to melt lead at around 900°F (465°C).
  4. Venus is considered Earth’s twin because they are similar in size, mass, density, composition and gravity, and probably had water thousands of years ago.
  5. Venus can be seen without a telescope!

  1. I purchased the monthly subscription specifically because I love the looks of the planet facts pages, but I can’t seem to get any of them to open. I looked in the space section, but don’t see these worksheets in the bundles that are available. Please help!
